Born and raised near Chicago, Claire has traveled the world, earning degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Marquette University and the University of Madrid. After college, she volunteered in the Peace Corps in Paraguay and later became a Class V whitewater raft guide. “After seeing the world, nothing compares to Asheville.” She and her husband Paul live in West Asheville with their two children and enjoy all the outdoor activities that the mountains have to offer. Paul Bartholic is carpenter and a home remodeler, a great resource for those homebuyers looking for a fixer-upper. The Bartholics are currently remodeling a 1918 Georgian-style home and have lots of advice to share about remodeling older homes.
